Water scarcity is a problem of global relevance that affecting more and people in the world. Latin America Caribbean (LAC) have around 35% world’s renewable water resources. However, management resources inequality access to has made growing interest region. The reuse could be an efficient measure reduce demand for area. In particular, greywater simple decentralized method reuse, which would mitigate impact lack isolated or difficult-to-access areas. Using Aquastat database, consumption world availability LAC were studied. addition, regulatory framework countries was studied, with emphasis on legislation. Agriculture one most demanding world, particularly, LAC, demands 70% Furthermore, drinking rural areas lacking, seven having less than 80% healthy water. regulation quite heterogeneous. general found political constitutions each country. Some explicitly indicate as human right, while other do not include information this regard. Although some specific regulations wastewater, there related greywater. cases, term “greywater” even defined wastewater laws.
